Susan E. Campbell

Susan Campbell joined Blanco Tackabery after nineteen years with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. She utilizes her experience with the regulatory process and insights gained as agency counsel to advise developers who participate in agency programs. She provides counsel and assistance with housing, community development, and regulatory matters, focusing on HUD/FHA-insured loans and asset management issues.

For ten years, Susan served as the Chief Counsel for the HUD Greensboro Field Office.  She closed both affordable and market-rate HUD/FHA-insured transactions, including loans that involved bonds and various types of tax credits, and handled asset management and rental assistance matters.  Susan taught sessions for several HUD closing schools and served on the multifamily loan document committee.  She also provided advice to the Offices of Public Housing and Community Development as well as Ginnie Mae.

Susan draws on her Federal experience to counsel clients on a variety of transactions involving federal loan programs, including development as well as asset management and preservation matters.   She also provides advice on Section 8 contracts, Section 202 and 811 programs, and community development programs.
