David Blanco Announcement 09.27.2022

Posted on

It is with great sadness that Blanco Tackabery announces our co-founder, David Blanco, passed away on September 27, 2022. David, along with Don R. House, formed our firm in 1973. During his long career, David was a talented, focused lawyer, tenacious when representing his clients. David served for many years as our managing partner and, through his leadership, the firm grew from a small collection of individual practitioners to a team-based enterprise, enabling the firm to flourish, grow and innovate the practice of law.

David was also a leader in our community, giving his time and talent to service on many boards through the years. While involved in many local charitable and civic organizations, he was perhaps most proud of his involvement with Brenner Children’s Hospital, where he served as the founding Board Chairman and a board member for 15 years.

David set an example of the importance of investing in our community for others that we strive to continue to honor. Although he retired from the firm many years ago, his imprint remains with us. David’s life was a life well lived, and his legacy will continue not only in our firm but in our community. He will be greatly missed.
